A rare silver-gilt and cloisonné enamel kovsh modelled as a bird with its head forming the handle. The piece is elaborately enamelled with shaded polychrome feathers and foliage against a cream and dark green ground. The eyes are set with red hardstones en cabochon. The sides and tail are further set with green cabochon hardstones. The interior is gilded.
