Circular with champlevé enamel band of stylised eagles and foliage in red, green, purple, white, turquoise and powder blue, similar concentric floral and geometric bands to centre, on a collet foot.

 

Ovchinnikov – alongside with Fabergé, one of the most important silver- and goldsmith of the nineteenth-century Russia. In 1881 the firm was awarded the title of the supplier of the Imperial Russian court. Its production was also highly praised by many other European royal courts: Ovchinnikov was the official purveyor to King Victor Emmanuel II of Italy and King Christian IX of Denmark.
