A realistically painted icon depicting kneeling St Anna and St Paraskeva standing next to her. Both saints are represented praying to Lord Sabaoth. An angel extends a blessing to St Anna from above,  announcing Anna’s forthcoming maternity. The icon is encased in a heavy gauge silver-gilt oklad with applied haloes and with four white enamel plaques. The border of the icon and the robes of the saints are decorated with foliate design.
