A large and important French silver vase by Tétard Frères executed in the Louis XVI style. The body of the vase is applied with swags of oak, the top is applied with cast figures of putti supporting additional oak swags.

 

Tétard – French silversmith company based in Paris. Established in 1851 by Hugo Tétard, in the 1920’s, under the leadership of artistic director Valéry Bizouard (1875-1945), the firm became one of the leading exponents of French Art Deco, alongside Puiforcat and Christofle.
