A burnished silver-gilt cigar case decorated with coloured bands of champlevé enamel simulating embroidered cloth, the cover applied with facsimile signature: ‘Moisei‘.

 

Andrei Stepanovich Bragin – Russian silversmith, active from 1852. In 1888 became an owner of a workshop at Spassky lane no. 4 in St.Petersburg employing 25 craftsmen in 1897. Examples of his work are in the collection of the State Historical Museum in Moscow.
