Circular silver bowl, the base is repousse with double-headed Imperial eagle stippled with the Cyrillic inscription “War 1914”, the exterior is decorated with reeded band and the engraved Russian inscription “to Scout from Captain second rank Sablin”. The piece is an example of Fabergé’s production made during the World War I. Such bowls were produced in copper or silver by the firm at the beginning of the war in 1914. Similar items can be seen in the State Historical Museum in Moscow, the State Hermitage in St.Petersburg.
