A silver hinged cigarette case, rectangular with rounded corners, fitted with a silver push-piece, the lid chased and engraved with a fish on stylised waves in the Japanese taste. The gilt interior on both sides stamped with K.Faberge in Cyrillic beneath the imperial warrant, 84 – Russian silver standard together with St. George slaying the dragon – the coat of arm of the city of Moscow; further stamped with later Soviet marks: 875 – Soviet silver standard and МЮ6-Р.
