A finely painted Pelekh icon showing St.Nicholas the Miracle Worker of Myra. St.Nicholas is depicted bust-length, wearing a bishop’s attire decorated with crosses and imitation pearls. In his left hand, the saint holds an open book of Gospels, his right hand is raised in blessing. On either side of the halo is an Old Slavonic inscription in red letters identifying the saint.

The main figure is flancked by two medallions with images of Christ and the Mother of God, who are presenting St.Nicholas with the Bible and the Bishop’s omophorion respectively. On the borders of the icon are family saints: St.Basil the Great, St.Christopher, St.Catherine, and St.Anastasia.
