A circular plate, the centre with textured octofoil silver-gilt panel decorated with shaded polychrome enamel flowers and foliage in pink, red, green and shades of blue encircled by a turquoise ground embellished with scrolling gilt cloisons, the rim conforming to the central panel and edged with white bead borders, the silver underside inscribed in Russian around the rim with presentation ‘To Pavel Vasilievich Popov from the Peasant Society of the village of Karadzha‘ (Karadzha was a small village in the Crimea).
