Silver-gilt and niello hinged snuff-box. The top of the box shows Falconet’s Peter the Great Equestrian Statue in an architectural setting, the inscription below says: ‘to Peter I from Catherine II‘; the reverse is nielloed with a view of the Old St.Petersburg Stock Exchange and Rostral Columns seen from the river Neva with boats in front. Inside the lid is engraved with Latin initials W.M in cursive.
