Louis Abel-Truchet1857 – 1918

Born in Versailles in 1857, Louis Abel-Truchet began his career at the prestigious Academie Julian in Paris. He studied alongside other notable artists, including Matisse and Derain, under the tuition of Julian Lefebvre and Benjamin Constant. In 1891, Abel-Truchet began to exhibit at numerous salons, including the Salon d’Automne, the Salon des Artistes Français and the Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts.
